Michael B.

Michael Beckner is a veteran law enforcement professional with 30 years of experience, currently serving as the Chief of Police at Oklahoma State University. His career includes leadership roles at Southeastern Louisiana University and Augusta University. He holds a Juris Masters from Liberty University School of Law and is a graduate of Northwestern Universitys School of Police Staff & Command.

Outside of work, Michael is an avid traveler who grew up in Europe and enjoys visiting Christmas markets there. A huge sports fan, especially soccer, he moved to Stillwater in part to be closer to his son in Tulsa. He and his wife, Jennifer, appreciate the friendly, small-town atmosphere of their new community.

Interesting fact: Michael is a U. S. Army and Army National Guard veteran who transitioned from being a medic to a career in law enforcement because he loved the variety of the work and making a difference.
