Oliver Saavedra is the Vice-Rector at Universidad Privada Boliviana and Director of its Civil and Environmental Research Center. With a Ph.D. from The University of Tokyo, his expertise lies in applied hydrology and water resource management, and he actively champions quality assurance and international collaboration in engineering education.
Outside of his formal roles, Oliver is deeply passionate about fostering the next generation of innovators. He actively promotes student-led initiatives in technology and sustainable engineering, such as solar vehicle challenges and tech competitions, showing a strong commitment to mentoring young talent in Bolivia.
He is a key promoter of the "Rally Solar," a university challenge where students design, build, and race their own solar-powered electric vehicles.
