Paul MacAllister

Dr. Paul MacAllister is a senior clinical leader, serving as Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust. He is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Medical Psychotherapist with extensive experience in leadership roles, including Clinical Director for Secure Services at Devon Partnership NHS Trust and Deputy Medical Director for the South West Provider Collaborative.

Outside of his clinical and leadership duties, Paul is a keen cyclist. He particularly enjoys road cycling, gravel riding, and off-road biking in the Southwest, valuing the ability to get out into the country lanes and open spaces.

He has contributed to several books on psychotherapy, authoring chapters on personality disorder services and psychological therapy in secure settings.
