Robert Louie is a distinguished leader, lawyer, and entrepreneur, having served over two decades as Chief of the Westbank First Nation. A University of Victoria law graduate, he pioneered the landmark Westbank Self-Government Agreement. He is the proprietor of the award-winning Indigenous World winery and chairs several boards, including Peace Hills Trust.
Outside of his professional life, Robert is a dedicated family man, sharing five children with his wife, Bernice. He established Indigenous World Winery with the vision of creating a lasting legacy for his family and people, blending modern enterprise with the rich cultural history and stewardship of the Syilx peoples of the Okanagan.
He is an Officer of the Order of Canada, one of the nations highest civilian honors.
