Sébastien Poncet is a Full Professor in the mechanical engineering department at the Université de Sherbrooke. He holds the NSERC Industrial Research Chair on Industrial Energy Efficiency, where he develops innovative technologies for thermal energy. He earned his PhD in systems and complexity from Aix-Marseille University.
Originally from Feurs, France, Sébastien moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec with his wife and three daughters. He appreciates the peaceful life and magnificent scenery of the region. His family enjoys participating in local cultural activities, such as visiting traditional sugar shacks during maple syrup season.
He is the director of the LMFTEUS lab, which focuses on developing innovative solutions for energy efficiency and sustainable development.
