Sarah Shugart

Sarah Shugart is the Executive Director at Faith in Action, Inc. , bringing extensive non-profit management experience. She previously spent 14 years at Avalon Housing, where she served as the Vice President of Fund Development and Communications. She is an alumna of Michigan State University.

As a longtime resident of the Chelsea area, Sarah is deeply committed to her local community. Her career is dedicated to social services, focusing on providing essential support and resources to neighbors in need, reflecting a strong passion for community welfare and outreach.

She dedicated nearly a decade and a half to the mission of ending homelessness through her work at Avalon Housing.
