Shawn Horcoff is the Assistant General Manager for the Detroit Red Wings and the General Manager for their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. His expertise lies in player development and personnel management, drawing from his extensive experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State Universitys Eli Broad College of Business.
Outside of his executive role, Shawn is a former professional hockey player with a 15-season NHL career, where he served as the captain of the Edmonton Oilers. He is an alumnus of Michigan State University, where he also played collegiate hockey, and is a father to three children.
He was a two-time Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) All-Academic team member while at Michigan State.
