Shelley is a distinguished Cultural Advisor and Indigenous Education Specialist with experience across K-12 and post-secondary systems. As Humber Colleges first Dean of Indigenous Engagement, she led strategic initiatives guided by the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. She holds a Masters Degree in Andaa Wiinjigewin (Indigenous Knowledge).
Deeply passionate about Indigenous artistic expression, Shelley has curated art exhibits like "Water Is Life, " which showcased Indigenous youth and artists to raise awareness for cultural and environmental issues. Her academic background also includes Horticulture Science, reflecting a connection to the natural world.
She was the first person to hold the position of Dean, Indigenous Engagement at Humber College.
