Steve Lachey was a residential and commercial mortgage banker and a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean War. A 1956 graduate of Piqua Central High School, he was an active member of his community through the local VFW and American Legion posts.
An avid Ohio sports enthusiast, Steve passionately followed the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his yard and flowerbeds, and spending time with his K-9 companion, Gizmo. He was also a member of the Piqua Baptist Church.
In his youth, Steve was the proud Drum Major for the Piqua Central High School Band.
