Therese Canares is a physician-entrepreneur and the CEO/Founder of CurieDx. Drawing on her decade of experience in pediatric emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins, she is developing AI-powered technology to provide smartphone-based diagnostics for conditions like strep throat. She holds an MD from NYU and an MBA from Johns Hopkins.
Outside of her startup, Therese is a vocal advocate for and member of several womens entrepreneurship and leadership groups, including The Fourth Floor and The Cru. She frequently participates in pitch events and summits aimed at supporting and elevating female founders.
She put her successful medical career on hold to launch CurieDx after seeing firsthand how technology could solve critical gaps in telehealth and reduce emergency room overcrowding.
