Thorsten Dreier

With over two decades of experience since starting as a lab manager at Bayer, he now leads Covestros technological transformation toward a circular economy. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Münster.
Outside of his corporate responsibilities, Thorsten is an avid cyclist, participating in team events with colleagues. He actively engages in shaping industrial and energy policy through his involvement with several European and German chemical industry associations, advocating for pragmatism to maintain industrial sovereignty.
He has progressed his entire career within one organization, rising from a laboratory manager at Bayer to a board member and CTO at its spin-off, Covestro.
