Tobias Aschwer is the Managing Director of GeoEnergieMünchenOst, leading an ambitious inter-municipal geothermal energy project for four communities near Munich. A graduate of the Technical University of Munich with a Masters in Renewable Energies, his career has progressed through key public sector roles, including Climate Protection Manager and Head of the Environmental Office for Vaterstetten.
Tobias is a key figure in the regional transition to renewable energy sources, frequently speaking on topics related to geothermal power and municipal heat planning. He spearheads the development of new energy infrastructure, aiming to deliver geothermal heat to the partner communities.
He successfully brought four separate municipalities together to found a joint energy company for a multi-million euro geothermal project.
