A graduate of The University of Tulsa, his expertise was forged by solving complex engineering challenges directly in the field from early in his career.
Following a battle with stage-4 cancer, Tom announced his retirement in late 2023 to focus on his health after achieving remission. He maintains a strong connection to his local community, showing interest in organizations like The University of Tulsa and the Tulsa Housing Authority.
To motivate problem-solving, his first employer sent him a one-way ticket to remote project sites and only provided a return ticket once the issue was fixed.
