A citizen of the Choctaw Nation, Trents heritage informs his work. He credits his mothers local political involvement for his focus on community engagement and is known to be active in supporting military veterans, a cause inspired by his grandfathers service in World War II.
In addition to his legal practice, he was appointed and serves as a Tribal Supreme Court Justice for the Kaw Nation.
