Ursula Michalke is a dedicated community leader, primarily known for her long-standing role as the President of the Theaterfreunde Regensburg since 2008. In this capacity, she champions a philosophy of "support instead of demand, " leading significant fundraising efforts to foster the arts. She also serves as the Deputy Chairwoman of the Theater Regensburg Foundation.
Her personal life is deeply intertwined with her passions. A lifelong theater enthusiast, she attends nearly 100 performances annually. She also dedicates her time to faith-based service as a volunteer trainer for the Hospitalité Notre Dame de Lourdes, preparing helpers for their work with pilgrims in France.
Her love for theater was ignited at age four when she attended her first opera, Verdis "Il Trovatore, " which remains a favorite.
