Victoria Shaw is the Detroit School Partnership Director at the University of Michigan, leading a decade-long, Knight Foundation-funded collaboration with Detroit Public Schools. Holding a Ph. D. from U-M, her expertise lies in curriculum design, teacher education, and arts integration, informed by her award-winning research on social-justice-oriented teaching.
Victoria is deeply committed to leveraging the arts for community engagement and social change. She is a member of the University of Michigan Museum of Arts Executive Committee and leads initiatives that connect Detroit students with professional artists in fields like dance, music, theater, and visual arts.
Her doctoral dissertation research earned the National Council of Teachers of English Promising Researcher Award in 2006.
