Alexander Tong is a Principal Investigator at Aithyra in Vienna, where he leads a research group developing next-generation machine learning methods to engineer biological systems. A PhD graduate from Yale University, his work focuses on creating generative AI for single-cell biology and therapeutic protein design. He was previously a postdoctoral fellow with Turing Award laureate Yoshua Bengio.
