Amit Agarwal

Amit Agarwal is the SVP of Emerging Markets at Amazon, leveraging a 25-year tenure that began as a software developer. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and Stanford, he previously led Amazons expansion in India, significantly growing its e-commerce presence and serving as a technical advisor to Jeff Bezos.

Outside of his intense work schedule, he prioritizes quality time with his wife and two children in Bangalore. An early passion for mountain climbing influenced his decision to join Amazon in Seattle. He also enjoys watching reruns of the show "Seinfeld" to de-stress.

He originally aspired to be a teacher before accidentally landing in the internet business world, a path that led him to spearhead Amazons growth in India.
