His career includes leadership roles at SABMiller and the National Business Initiative, focusing on water stewardship, climate strategy, and circular packaging. He holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.
After retiring from corporate life, Andre has pursued his passion for distilling by acquiring the Hout Bay Harbour Distillery, an award-winning gin distillery in Cape Town. He remains deeply engaged in climate change discussions, particularly concerning South Africas just transition and sustainable development.
In a shift from global corporate strategy to local craft entrepreneurship, Andre is now the new owner of South Africa’s only triple World Award–winning small-batch distillery.
