Andy Lapsa
Login to view DISC.Andy Lapsa is the Co-Founder and CEO of Stoke Space, a company focused on developing 100% fully and rapidly reusable rockets. Before Stoke, he spent over a decade at Blue Origin, where he led the development of the BE-3 and BE-3U engine programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. from Cornell University.
As a child, Andy built and launched Estes model rockets, sometimes using grasshoppers as his payload selections, which displeased his sister. His childhood aspiration was to be an architect before he gravitated toward engineering.
His passion for propulsion systems was discovered at the University of Michigan, where his Ph.D. focused on fluids, combustion, and propulsion.
