Barbara Clarke is an economist, investor, and entrepreneur dedicated to fostering innovation by supporting diverse teams. She founded The Impact Seat Foundation to advance women, especially women of color, in business leadership. She holds a BA from Tufts University and an MA from Brandeis University.
Outside of her investment work, Barbara is the owner of two independent bookstores, The Provincetown Bookshop and Parkside Bookshop. She is a polyglot who speaks German, French, and Italian and enjoys exploring new cities, supporting local artists, and listening to alternative and indie rock music.
To prevent a beloved, 90-year-old local bookstore from closing, she bought it herself in 2021.
