Bess Welch is the Vice President of Public Health Research at NORC. With over 20 years of experience and a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, she leads multidisciplinary teams on complex social science surveys for government agencies, academic institutions, and foundations.
Bess has a passion for education, having previously served as a part-time instructor for Loyola University Chicagos Psychology Department. She taught courses in Social Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistics, showing a commitment to developing future researchers in the field of social sciences.
She directs the National Immunization Surveys (NIS), one of the largest random-digit-dial telephone surveys in the U. S. , which samples over 25 million telephone lines yearly.
