Dr. Robert Edwards is the Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UPMC, where he also co-directs the Womens Cancer Research Center. A Gettysburg College alumnus, his work focuses on pioneering clinical trials and research in gynecologic oncology, particularly in novel immunotherapies for ovarian and cervical cancers.
Outside of his extensive medical career, Dr. Edwards lives in the Pittsburgh area with his wife and five children. He is an active individual whose hobbies include running and boating, and he prioritizes spending time with his family.
Unique fact: Dr. Edwards graduated as the valedictorian of his class at Gettysburg College.
