Brett Hendrie is the Director of Strategic Events at the Rotman School of Management, where he leads the school’s thought-leadership event portfolio. He previously spent 20 years at Hot Docs, North Americas largest documentary festival, serving as Executive Director and overseeing its significant growth. He is an alumnus of the University of Toronto and Stanford Universitys Impact Program.
Outside of his professional life, Brett is a concerned parent navigating the challenges of childrens screen time and technology habits. He is a recognized community contributor, having received the University of Torontos Arbor Award for his sustained volunteer contributions. He has also served on the Hart House Film Board.
As Executive Director, Brett grew the Hot Docs festival to a record-high audience of over 228, 000 people.
