Brooks Elms
Initiator · DISC type DiBrooks Elms is a WGA screenwriter, filmmaker, and the founder of Buzztown, where he coaches storytellers. A New York University graduate, he has written over 45 screenplays, taught at UCLA Extension, and directed independent features. Colleagues and students describe him as knowledgeable, personable, and enthusiastic.
Outside of his professional writing, Brooks is passionate about helping other creatives overcome obstacles, drawing from his own journey. He dedicates time to personal growth and mentorship, having been a leader in the ManKind Project. He also enjoys coaching his sons basketball and soccer teams.
He made over 50 short film experiments before he even attended NYU film school.
