Cara Abbott
Inspirer · DISC type diCara is the Founder and CEO of Betterleave, a platform supporting families through serious illness and loss. Her previous company, Code Pilot, was acquired by AngelList. A graduate of Murray State University, she is also an active partner and advisor at several venture funds, including The Fund Austin.
Outside of her founder role, Cara is passionate about supporting women-led startups as a venture scout and invests in early-stage PeopleTech companies. She shows an appreciation for unique cultural experiences, such as participating in a traditional New Orleans "second line" jazz parade.
Her first company, a developer recruitment platform, was successfully acquired by AngelList in 2020.
