Carl Viel is the President and CEO of Québec International, where he leads the economic development for the Québec City metropolitan region. An alumnus of Université Laval and MITs Entrepreneurship Development Program, he focuses on attracting foreign investment, supporting technological entrepreneurship, and fostering business growth. His prior experience includes leadership roles in the life sciences sector.
Outside of work, Carl is an active individual who enjoys cycling and walks ten to fifteen kilometers daily. His personal interests include travel, horticulture, and discovering good wines. He is also involved with various committees and charitable organizations in a personal capacity, reflecting a commitment to his community.
In recognition of his contributions, the French Republic appointed him a Chevalier (Knight) of the National Order of Merit.
