Also famous as Cocktail Carmen, she is a regular spirits expert on BBCs Saturday Kitchen. Her unique background includes studying Fashion Business and working as a makeup artist and shoe designer before entering the spirits industry.
Originally from Canada, Carmen is a serial entrepreneur, having started her first business at age five. A life-altering cycling accident pivoted her career from shoe design to distilling, where she found a new passion. Her mother, an aromatherapist, inspired her understanding of distillation, and she named the distillerys main still Rae in her honor.
After a serious cycling accident ended her shoe design career, she began experimenting with a two-litre still at home, which eventually led to the creation of 58 and CO.
