Carolyn Bennett

D. graduate, she practiced as a family physician for 20 years before entering politics.
Her political career was inspired by her advocacy to save Torontos Womens College Hospital, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to public health and community service. She has authored a book on Canadian healthcare reform and is known as a passionate advocate for womens involvement in politics and disability inclusion.
Before her distinguished 26-year career as a Member of Parliament, she was a family physician and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto.
