Chloe Axford is an experienced communications leader with a 20-year background as a senior broadcast journalist for the BBC and ITN. Now the Director of Communications and Engagement at The Diocese of Exeter, she leverages her strong writing and creative skills. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
Outside of her professional role, Chloe is deeply involved in her community as a volunteer Licensed Lay Minister on Dartmoor, where she preaches and sings in a worship band. She lives in Devon with her husband and two children and loves being by the sea, good coffee, and almond croissants.
In November 2025, Chloe was installed as an honorary Lay Canon of Exeter Cathedral.
