Christa Wheeler-Thorne

Christa Wheeler-Thorne is the Clinical Executive Director for the Women & Children’s Health Program at Horizon Health Network, bringing over 30 years of nursing experience. Educated at Dalhousie and Crandall University, she has extensive expertise in pediatric diabetes, quality improvement initiatives, and nursing management, and has played a key role in developing new clinical facilities.

Outside of her executive duties, Christa is dedicated to empowering her colleagues and advancing patient-centered care. She actively participates in professional conferences, valuing opportunities for collaborative learning and sharing insights with her team to enhance healthcare delivery.

She played a vital role in the construction of a new Maternal Newborn Building at The Moncton Hospital.
