Daniel Lin-Arlow is the Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Ansa Biotechnologies, a company pioneering enzymatic DNA synthesis. He earned a PhD from UC Berkeley and a Bachelors from MIT, and transitioned from founding CEO to CSO to focus on developing technology that overcomes the limitations of chemical DNA synthesis, enabling faster innovation in biotech.
Described as a "computer kid" growing up, he was captivated by the idea of programming cells with DNA. His passion lies in building tools to help scientists accelerate their work. He believes in talking to real customers for insights while maintaining a strong conviction in his teams vision and fostering a collaborative culture.
His motivation to found Ansa came from personally experiencing the frustrating delays his lab mates faced in getting the DNA constructs they needed for their experiments.
