David-Jan is the CEO and Co-Founder of SurePay, the company that invented and leads the market for IBAN-Name Check, also known as Confirmation of Payee. Originating from an award-winning innovation project at Rabobank, he has scaled the service to over 200 banks and 750 corporates, performing 11 billion checks to reduce payment fraud.

Outside of work, David-Jans hobbies include football, where he is also a referee, as well as chess and hiking.

He conceived the idea for SurePay after interviewing people at a local train station about their biggest hurdles with online banking, where the clear answer was the need for payment fraud prevention.
