For over three decades, Diane Ortiz has led Youth Alliance as its Founder and CEO, growing it from a grassroots initiative to a regional leader. She is dedicated to advancing equity and opportunity for youth in marginalized communities, utilizing restorative justice models. Diane holds an MSW from San José State University.
Diane is deeply connected to her community and heritage, actively participating in and promoting local Indigenous culture. She was instrumental in organizing the 3rd Annual Hollister Powwow & Native Gathering and proudly shared the Grand Entry with her father, showcasing her commitment to intergenerational connection and cultural celebration.
She grew Youth Alliance from a volunteer group into an organization with over 150 staff, interns, and volunteers.
