Emilia Dauway MD, FACS, FRACS

Dr. Emilia Dauway is an accomplished Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon, currently serving as the Clinical Director of Surgery and Critical Care Services at Sunshine Coast HHS and Vice President of the Australian Medical Association in Queensland. Educated at Johns Hopkins University, she is a leader in surgical innovation and holistic patient care.

Outside of her clinical roles, Dr. Dauway is a passionate advocate for health equity. She founded the non-profit Restore More to support regional women with breast cancer, has participated in numerous international medical missions, and authored the book "Live Fearlessly. " She is also a certified yoga instructor, integrating mindfulness into her practice.

Interesting fact: She co-invented and patented a procedure using radioactive seeds to localize breast cancers and was the first in Australia to use magnetic seeds for the same purpose.
