Originally from a grain farm in Newman, Illinois, Ethan now resides in the Netherlands with his wife and three daughters. He remains connected to his family farm, helping with the business side and precision technology when he can. He enjoys attending his daughters dance, soccer, or gymnastics events.
In 2020, he received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Illinois College of ACES for his professional and personal accomplishments.
