Fabida Aria
Login to view DISC.Dr. Fabida Aria is the Executive Medical Director at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. A respected leader and Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, she was named the 2023 Psychiatrist of the Year. She also holds an MSc in healthcare leadership.
Originally from India, Fabida has lived and worked in multiple countries, fostering a passion for multicultural environments. Outside of her clinical roles, she enjoys nature walks, theatre, reading, travelling, and has recently started Bollywood dance sessions with her children. She also volunteered at the London 2012 Olympics.
Judges for her 2023 award noted she is "respected, admired and trusted by patients and colleagues" for driving huge improvements in patient care.
