Gary Hartley

Gary is a highly respected, retired engineering and operations leader with a distinguished 30-year career at PACCAR Australia. He progressed through key roles including Chief Engineer and Director of Program Management, spearheading the local design and development of iconic Kenworth trucks. He holds a management qualification from AGSM @ UNSW Business School.

Described as a principled, likeable, and laid-back person from Bundaberg, Queensland, Gary expresses immense pride in the teams he worked with. He deeply values mentorship and the collaborative culture that drove innovation and continuous improvement throughout his long tenure at the company.

He began his career in the aircraft industry before transitioning to become one of the most respected engineers in the heavy-duty truck business.
