Gerard Colman

Gerard Colman is the Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health, leading Kentuckys largest healthcare system. His career began in the U. S. Navy and now spans over 30 years, with extensive experience in operations, finance, and physician engagement. He holds a doctorate in healthcare management and previously served as COO of Aurora Health Care.

Originally from New York, Gerard is a married father of three daughters. He enjoys running and swimming and previously had a passion for woodworking before family life became his main focus. He is an avid reader of business and leadership books to support his commitment to ongoing learning.

His healthcare journey began at age 17 as a U. S. Navy corpsman, setting the foundation for his ultimate career goal of leading a major health system.
