Guillaume Vermeylen is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Mons (UMONS), where he also serves as the Codirector of the Soci&ter Research Institute. His research focuses on international economics, macroeconomics, and the impact of educational mismatch on firm productivity. He holds a Ph. D. in Economics and Management Sciences.
Outside of academia, Guillaume explores the intersection of sports and community development. He is the co-author of a book analyzing how a football clubs new stadium project can be a driving force for urban revitalization, local employment, and social cohesion. He is also actively involved in student and alumni events.
