Guy Solan is the Founder and CEO of Thetis Medical, a company dedicated to improving recovery from Achilles tendon ruptures. An engineer by training with a Masters from Imperial College London, he is a two-time medtech founder, having also started Patient Watch. He is driven by creating simple technical solutions to solve problems for clinicians and patients.
Inspired by his parents who are both doctors, Guy is passionate about bridging the gap between clinical needs and tangible products. He started his company with a 3D printer and his grandmothers sewing machine, demonstrating a hands-on, problem-solving approach to innovation and entrepreneurship.
Unique fact: About 3% of all Achilles rupture patients in the UK and US now use the splint that he originally developed in his bedroom.
