Hayden Thomas

Hayden Thomas is a Research Chemist at Scion, where he runs the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) suite to support scientific and commercial projects. His background is in synthetic and analytical chemistry, with a focus on organometallic chemistry. He earned his PhD and Bachelor of Science with honours from the University of Waikato.

Outside of the lab, Hayden enjoys stream and rock fishing for fun, and generally practices catch and release. Though not a keen mountain biker himself, he sometimes joins his partner, Ingrid, who is an avid mountain biker.

He spent his entire PhD in an NMR room, which he now finds "weirdly comforting" while running Scions advanced NMR lab.
