Ioannis Alexandros Antonoglou

Ioannis Antonoglou is the Co-Founder and CTO of Reflection AI, building superintelligent autonomous systems starting with coding. A founding engineer at Google DeepMind, he was a core architect of landmark AI like AlphaGo, AlphaZero, and led the RLHF training for Gemini. He holds a PhD from University College London and an MSc from The University of Edinburgh.

Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Ioannis chose a path of frontier research early in his career over more established roles. He joined DeepMind when it was a small startup, driven by the ambition of the team and the potential to create a significant impact in the field of artificial general intelligence.

He is one of the key figures featured in the AlphaGo documentary, which inspired his co-founder to switch fields from physics to AI.
