Jim Ellis is Of Counsel at Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips, specializing in energy and utility law since 1974. He represents regulated companies in corporate, M&A, and litigation matters, drawing on his J. D. from Tulane Law School. He has served as lead counsel on many of Louisianas largest utility merger and acquisition deals.
Deeply invested in his community, Jim has held numerous leadership positions, including Chairman of the Board for both the Baton Rouge Area Chamber and the Greater Baton Rouge Airport Commission. He also serves on the board for Habitat for Humanity and is a past president of the City Club of Baton Rouge.
