Jing Zhou is a Professor at the University of Agder, where she serves as Research Director for the Priority Research Center in Mechatronics and heads the Robotics and Automation Group. Her expertise spans control theory, robotics, and mechatronics, with a PhD in Cybernetics from Nanyang Technological University.
She is a passionate advocate for diversity in her field, serving as the Chair for Women-in-IES at the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. She actively organizes events and promotes the engagement and advancement of women in engineering, often mentoring female researchers and celebrating their achievements.
She is a Fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences (NTVA), recognizing her significant contributions to engineering and technology.
