Joe Mackay

Joe Mackay is the co-owner and President of Yip Cider, a family-owned and operated craft cidery in Long Reach, New Brunswick. He leads operations for the company, which he started with his father and brothers on their multi-generational apple orchard. He is a graduate of the Wallace McCain Institutes Entrepreneurial Leaders Program.

Joe is deeply rooted in his community, having returned to the family farm to launch the business. He is committed to preserving his familys agricultural legacy while modernizing production methods and supporting other New Brunswick growers by sourcing local ingredients for Yip Ciders products.

Interesting fact: The ciderys name, "Yip, " was the nickname of Joes grandfather, who started the family orchard in 1964 and made cider exclusively for friends and family.
