Jose Gumbs

Jose Gumbs is a former NFL safety with a decorated collegiate career at Monmouth University, where he earned accolades such as NEC Defensive Player of the Year. He played for the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins. Gumbs has since transitioned into a coaching role.

Originally from Queens, New York, Gumbs is a multi-sport athlete who also excelled in basketball and baseball during his time at Hebron Academy. His journey from an undrafted free agent to an NFL starter highlights his persistence and dedication to football. He also has an interest in the Philadelphia Eagles.

After his professional playing career, Gumbs was inducted into his high schools (Hebron Academy) Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.
