Joshua Thomas

Joshua Thomas is a Senior Business Development professional at Toast who leverages a unique background as a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. His career began in Michelin-starred kitchens before he founded his own successful Indian street food truck, Chaat Shop, ultimately bridging his deep culinary expertise with restaurant technology.

Outside of work, Joshua is a family man who enjoys cooking at home, particularly the shrimp curry he learned from his South Indian mother. He met his wife, Allison, while they were both students at culinary school, and they have two daughters. He also enjoys making Tiki drinks for guests.

His food truck, Chaat Shop, was considered a "mobile test lab" for his creative takes on Indian street food, such as chicken tikka tacos.
