Judith B. Thomas is the President and CEO of the Indy Arts Council, bringing over 30 years of experience in civic leadership, tourism, and sports marketing. A Butler University alumna, she previously served as Indianapoliss Deputy Mayor of Neighborhood Engagement and President of the Madam Walker Legacy Center, focusing on strategic stakeholder connection and community empowerment.
Rooted in a family that cherished the arts, Judiths passion was sparked by her mothers modern dance troupe and her fathers love for jazz. This lifelong appreciation for culture fuels her work and commitment to Indianapolis. She enjoys listening to local jazz musicians and is a dedicated member of the Covenant Community Church.
She is the co-chair of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2026 NCAA Mens Final Four tournament.
