Karen Suhr

Karen Suhr is a dedicated member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity residing and serving at St. Ritas Health Center. She actively participates in the daily operations and support activities of the faith-based community, contributing to the well-being of its members through various service roles.

Originally from a farm in Nebraska and the youngest of six children, Karen has been a Franciscan Sister for over 50 years. Her personal history is deeply intertwined with her lifelong spiritual vocation and commitment to her religious community, which she reflects upon as a central part of her identity.

As part of a celebration, she once dressed in an earlier, traditional habit to honor her communitys history.
